St Catherine’s Bunker Tours
St Catherine’s Bunker is a remarkable German bunker and tunnel complex that is a testament to the German hold on the British Channel Islands during the Second World War. By chance, it became strategically positioned and formed a crucial part of the German defences after the Allied invasion of France. A visit to the site perfectly complements understanding the history of the invasion of Jersey and the liberation.

We will provide a 10-15 minute tour of the tunnel and bunker from 10:15, followed by tours every 30 minutes thereafter. The tour explains the project and our health and safety rules that must be followed. You are then free to explore the Bunker, Standby rooms and our armory at your own pace. The average time our clients are at the site is 50 minutes.
We have multiple displays explaining the invasion and liberation of Jersey, as well as Stories of the Allied soldiers, sailors, and airmen who fought against the German Forces. Then enjoy hands-on access to World War II weaponry that has been made safe for handling and display. If the weather is good, expect to have a go with some of the German & British optics we have!
Your entry ticket is reinvested in the St Catherine's Bunker to help cover the costs of all the additional restoration work, as well as its upkeep. We often also have vehicles from World War II on display in our yard. On site, we also have a coffee shop and a gift shop. We are also working on stocking some military surplus and World War II collectables.

Join us for a tour of the WW2 bunkers with a focus on the Liberation. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Europe and the Liberation of the Channel Islands. Our tours have been updated to include photos and equipment of the Allied Liberation Force 135.

New sites for 2025! See Jersey's military heritage in a new light and help support a non-profit organisation! Evening tours of bunkers offer an unforgettable atmosphere when exploring. We will visit sites not open to the public and often use a 4x4. Become a temporary team member and see how Jersey became an impregnable fortress!
