Driving in Jersey
In Jersey, we take life in the slow lane – literally! Our island-wide speed limit is 40mph (64 km/h), but you’ll find plenty of areas where it drops to 30mph or even 20mph, so keep an eye on the signs as you explore.
With over 350 miles of scenic roads twisting through fields, farms and along breathtaking coastal routes, the journey is just as stunning as the destination. Whether you’re driving your own car, hiring one, or hopping in a taxi, getting around is a breeze.
Planning to drive? Make sure you’ve got the right paperwork – a Certificate of Insurance or an International Green Card, plus a valid Driving License or International Driving Permit (UK-issued permits aren’t valid here). And if you’re bringing your own car, don’t forget to display a nationality plate on the back – it’s all part of the adventure!
