Liberation Day in Jersey
From 1940 to 1945, Jersey was one of the Channel Islands under Nazi occupation. Islanders faced extreme hardship but were able to find ways to adapt, resist and survive. On 09 May each year, the island celebrates its liberation, marking the moment in 1945 when crowds gathered in Liberation Square to welcome British troops and watch the Union Jack soar in victory from the balcony of the Pomme d’Or Hotel.

Combined Military History & Battlefields Tour
This tour covers pretty much all of Jersey battlefield and military history. It includes both half day tours "Brutal warfare - the realities of late medieval warfare for soldiers and civilians" and "Redcoats & privateering (including the Battle of Jersey 1781) as well as the fortifications built and adapted by the Nazis during the 1940-45 occupation.
